Grading Rules for Flooring

 

NATURAL GRADE:
A #1 common and better grade that may include small solid pin knots. Will
also contain Select and Clear grades. All the natural variation of colors
in the species is allowed. Minimal filling required. Lengths of 1' to 8'
with an average length of 4' to 5'.

RUSTIC GRADE:
A combination of knotty grade, #2 common, and #1 common with a high
percentage of solid tight knots and some fillable knots. This grade has
multiple color character marks, wormholes, and other natural defects of the
species. Lengths of 1' to 10' with an average length of 5' to 6'.

RUSTIC GRADE- LONG LENGTH:
Available in long lengths non-end matched with trimmed ends. Lengths of 1'
to 12' bundled with an average of 6' to 8' in length. Large defects are
trimmed out.

CUSTOM PREMIUM GRADES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST:
A combination of Select grade, 1st grade and Clears 1' to 8'. End matched
with an average of 4' in length, packaged in 8' units.
